\u10dc\u10d0\u10e7\u10dd\u10e4\u10d8\u10d4\u10e0\u10d0\u10d3 \u10db\u10e3\u10e8\u10d0\u10dd\u10d1\u10d3\u10d0 \u10de\u10dd\u10e0\u10e2\u10e0\u10d4\u10e2\u10d8\u10e1 \u10df\u10d0\u10dc\u10e0\u10e8\u10d8\u10ea. \u10db\u10d8\u10e1\u10d8 \u10de\u10dd\u10e0\u10e2\u10e0\u10d4\u10e2\u10d4\u10d1\u10d8\u10e1\u10d7\u10d5\u10d8\u10e1 \u10e1\u10d0\u10ee\u10d0\u10e1\u10d8\u10d0\u10d7\u10dd\u10d0 \u10dc\u10d0\u10e2\u10e3\u10e0\u10d8\u10e1 \u10ee\u10d0\u10e1\u10d8\u10d0\u10d7\u10d8\u10e1 \u10d2\u10d0\u10d3\u10db\u10dd\u10ea\u10d4\u10db\u10d0.<\/p>\n<p>Artist was fond of creating compositions depicting ethnographic life. Therefore much of his work is dedicated to Georgian culture and history expressing different moments in the lives of prominent people.<\/p>\n<p>Shota Metreveli also worked fruitfully in the portrait genre. His portraits well express the character of his models.<\/p>\n<p>For many years, Meteveli and his wife worked as professors at Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n<p>He is an Honored Artist of Georgia, and his paintings are kept in the funds of almost all museums of Georgia, as well as in private collections in Georgia, Russia, Europe, and the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Shota Metreveli passed away on April 5, 1983.
